chapter 30

Do You Want to Do It With Me?

He led Blair out onto the balcony.

Blair, who had followed behind him with quick little steps, murmured as if talking to herself.
“What if that person got badly hurt earlier…”
Her words made Heredin stop walking.

Even in this situation, her concern for Wesley made anger surge within him.
“Are you worried about that bastard right now?

Do you know what kind of nonsense that guy was saying to you?”
“But today is Mother’s birthday banquet.”
Now she was worrying about Katrina.

Her own safety was not even on her mind.

Heredin was about to say something when Blair suddenly hiccupped again.

Hic.

Hic.

Hic…

The hiccups continued without stopping.

Even when Blair closed her mouth, the sound still escaped.

Now that he thought about it, there was a smell of alcohol every time she breathed.

Heredin’s brow furrowed.
“…Are you drunk?”
“I’m not drunk.”
The reply came immediately.

But now that he looked, her pronunciation was slightly awkward.

Heredin held up two fingers and asked,
“How many do you see?”
Blair pouted her lips.
“…You said you wouldn’t doubt me.”
Her unusual behavior was cute, but Heredin did not back down.

In fact, that made him even more persistent.
“So how many does it look like?”
“Just stay still for a moment.”
Blair, who had been swaying slightly, suddenly grabbed his unmoving hand with both of hers.

Heredin paused at the contact, but Blair seemed not to notice and began fiddling with his fingers.

Her small hands moved busily as they touched his fingers.

It tickled, but the feeling was not unpleasant.

Blair, who had narrowed her elegant brows in concentration as she counted the two fingers, finally answered.
“It’s two.”
Her tone sounded as if asking whether he thought she would not even know something that simple.

Heredin burst into laughter while his two fingers were still caught in her grasp.

The filthy feeling from when Wesley had been slammed to the floor earlier had long been forgotten.

His drunken wife tilted her head with a serious expression, as if she could not understand why he was laughing.

Meanwhile, the hiccups still had not stopped.

When another hiccup escaped, Blair frowned in frustration and patted her upper chest.

Watching her with amused eyes, Heredin asked,
“Shall I stop them for you?”
Blair blinked in confusion as she looked up at him.

In the next moment, his face moved closer.

Something hot and soft touched her lips before quickly pulling away.

Blair’s eyes blinked slowly as she failed to understand what had just happened.

Heredin chuckled when he saw her eyes wide like a startled rabbit.
“There, your hiccups stopped.”
His languid, low voice reached Blair’s heart a moment later.

Blair heard the loud beating of her own heart ringing in her ears and looked up at Heredin with confused eyes.

She could not understand why this man was behaving like this toward her.

You don’t like me.

You shouldn’t.

She hated how he kept slipping into the gaps in her resolve like this and shaking her.

She did not want to be shaken.

Her heart, which was pounding against her will, made her miserable.

Blair came to her own conclusion about the meaning of his actions.
“Do you want to do it with me?”
At least, this person had always liked her body.

Yes, that must be it.

It had to be something simple like that.

Of course, if she had been sober, she would never have said such words out loud.

The moment he heard her words, the smile disappeared from Heredin’s face.

His gaze became cold, just as she had seen once before.

Heredin let out a dry laugh.

His wife had been treating him like some beast driven by lust since last time.

But she was not entirely wrong.

His mind was indeed filled with filthy fantasies surrounding her.
“…What if I do?”
“You said we would share a bed twice a month.

There’s still one time left this month, so if you want, then as much as you like…”
In other words, if he wanted, she was willing to offer her body freely.

Her words carried no trace of her own emotions or will.

That attitude grated on Heredin’s nerves.

Yet ironically, the moment Blair gave her permission, his desire burned with anticipation.

Separate from the filthy feeling that had thrown him into the mud earlier.

Why would he refuse a woman offering herself to him?

He desired her.

She was, at least outwardly, his wife.

And she said she would accept him without refusal.

There was nothing wrong with his desire.

Nothing at all.

Heredin led Blair into a nearby room.

Blair stumbled along weakly as she was pulled inside.

Heredin closed the door and trapped Blair between the door and his body.

He kissed the slender wrist he was holding and asked,
“Is it fine to do it here?”
As his lips moved while speaking, Blair’s body trembled.

Her rising and falling chest moved as she breathed unevenly.

Even that sight was beautiful.

Blair blinked blankly before slowly nodding.

The moment permission was given, his large hand slid up her waist.

At the same time, his lips grazed over Blair’s wrist and palm.

The slender fingers that had fearlessly touched him earlier.

Even then, his eyes never left her.

As if trying to carve even the smallest of her reactions into his gaze.
“Ah…”
Blair twisted her body unconsciously at the sensation of hot, moist flesh brushing her wrist and palm.

Even though he was only kissing her wrist and palm, her stomach tingled.

Perhaps it was because of the gaze that never left her.

He had not even stolen her breath, yet her breathing became uneven.

When Blair grabbed his arm with her free hand in confusion, Heredin finally released her hand and pulled her into an embrace.

Then he buried his lips in the pale nape of her neck.

As their bodies pressed together, she could feel the heat from where they touched.

Blair’s nerves instantly tensed.

She twisted her body, trying to escape, but he only tightened his arms and pressed her closer.

The more she struggled, the more clearly she could feel him.
“Heredin…”
Whether it meant stop or continue, her call carried no clear meaning.

Heredin interpreted it however he pleased.

Calling his name in such a desperate voice surely meant she was urging him on.

Heredin, who had been tormenting the soft skin between Blair’s neck and collarbone with small bites, captured the lips that had called his name.

The lower his hand slid along her waist, the more Blair twisted and let out soft moans.

Blair’s hand gripping his arm tightened.

Each time her pained moan echoed near his ear, the sensations of their first night resurfaced.

He felt like he might go mad with the urge to take her immediately.

He repeatedly sucked and released her small lips until the moment he parted her lower lip and slipped inside.

Through the gap of her teeth that opened without resistance, the sweet scent of wine flowed in.

At that moment, the filthy feeling he had suppressed beneath desire raised its head.

Would this woman even remember what she had said or done right now?

His head cooled as if cold water had been poured over it.

Separate from the desire to push her down and satisfy himself.

When he suddenly pulled his lips away, Blair opened her eyes.
“…Heredin?”
His figure was reflected in her violet eyes, hazy with alcohol.

Just looking at those eyes made him feel dizzy, as if intoxicated.

Heredin loosened the arm wrapped around Blair’s waist.

Then, as if avoiding her gaze, he covered his own eyes with his hand.

A painful sigh slipped out through his teeth beneath his large hand.

After taking a moment to steady his breathing and suppress his desire, he looked at Blair and spoke.
“Now that I think about it, this seems a little unfair.”
“Unfair…?”
Blair, still not fully sober, moved her small lips and repeated his words like a parrot.

Even in this situation, the sight of her was absurdly cute… and the way her reddish lips, glistening with his saliva, moved looked indecent.

Damn it.

Heredin ground his teeth and spoke in a low voice.
“You’re going to forget everything that happened today once you sober up.”
But I want you to remember everything.

He wanted her to remember it all while fully conscious.

To carve the sensations he gave her into her mind.

So that even the slightest touch of his fingertips would make her think of him.

So that her body would instinctively react to him.

Blair blinked slowly as she looked at him, then suddenly stepped closer and buried her head against his chest.
“Heredin, I’m sleepy…”
It did not seem like she had heard his words at all.

Or rather, it would be more accurate to say she was in no condition to hear them.

Heredin let out a helpless laugh but supported the small body leaning against him.

With a troubled sigh, he whispered near Blair’s ear.
“…Prepare yourself when you wake up.”
